TELETUBBIES HILLS NUSA PENIDA HIGHLIGHT

Called Teletubbies Hill is not a reason, it is because the hill is like a hill home to Teletubbies. Did you know that Teletubbies is a 90s children's animated film starring 4 characters named Tinky Wingky, Dipsy, Lala and Po it? It used to be a very famous movie that is still thinking many people until now. They all live in Teletubbies Hill. Apparently, the hill not only can be seen from TV, but you can go there in real life! In Nusa Penida, there’s a hill called Teletubbies. Before this hill was called Teletubbies Hill, this hill was called Gamal Hill by the locals here, because on this hill there used to be many Gamal trees that were used by local residents to feed their livestock such as cows, goats and pigs. Many local people work as animal breeders around the area, and come here every day to look for gamal trees to feed their livestock. Once upon a time there was a tourist who came here, while trekking in Nusa Penida, he saw the hills that were green and fertile at that time and took photos and uploaded them on the internet, and many said that they were similar to the hills in the children's film Teletubbies and called this place Teletubbies Hill, so that till now this places famous with name Teletubbies Hill.

There are beach tours there are also cliff tours and there is also an amazing hill tour. Well, teletubbies hill is one of them that provides the best atmosphere above the height of Nusa Penida Island. Many people go there everyday, both for taking pictures and observing the scenery around.

HOW TO GET THERE

The easiest option for getting to Teletubbies Hill take ferry from Sanur port or Padang Bai in Bali. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes from Sanur, but taking around 2 hours to reach the island from Padang Bai. There are 3 ports on the island so your landing depends on the location of the port. The nearest port to go to Teletubbies Hill is Sampalan port. You can use the vehicle or scooter approximately a 40-minute drive away. The internet connection is not very good, along the way we can ask local people if you feel wrong way.

There is no entrance fee at this tourist attraction, you are free to park on the side of the road
