ATUH BEACH NUSA PENIDA HIGHLIGHT

Atuh Beach is a beach located in the eastern part of Nusa Penida Island, this beach offers beautiful views where around the coast is surrounded by high cliffs, and the descent to the beach takes about 30 minutes, but the view is worth the effort, especially if you’re a beach lover. Visit Pantai Atuh Beach at low tide to see rock pools with exotic marine life. Swimming isn’t advisable due to strong currents and lack of lifeguards on the beach. Incredible natural rock arch that stretches over crystal clear turquoise waters will have you in awe as soon as you lay eyes on it. Not far from the beach, there is a temple called Pura Atuh. This temple is often visited by Hindus communities around Pejukutan and Tanglad villages, especially during the ceremony. Where the meaning of the word Atuh is derived from the word "A" meaning 'no' and 'Tuh' which means 'dry', so it can be assumed that the word "Atuh" means 'never dry'. Because there are fresh water springs that never dry around the beach near the holy temple

HOW TO GET THERE

The easiest option for getting to Atuh Beach take ferry from Sanur port or Padang Bai in Bali. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes from Sanur, but taking around 2 hours to reach the island from Padang Bai. There are 3 ports on the island so your landing depends on the location of the port. The nearest port to go to Atuh is Sampalan port. You can use the vehicle or scooter approximately a 40-minute drive away. The internet connection is not very good, along the way we can ask local people if you feel wrong way.

ENTRANCE FEE

When you arrived, need pay for entrance fee of IDR 35.000/person (public rate). If you look at the reviews on Google Map, this tourist attraction is not safe for you as a backpacker. There are many scam acts carried out by local people.
